Isle of Wight Regeneration
Projects which regenerate the fabric of the Isle of Wight are so important – not only for the obvious cosmetic and social reasons but also because we need to make sure we have the right facilities and right work space so our businesses can flourish and provide employment opportunities for local people.
We are involved in two major regeneration projects at the moment – Cowes Waterfront and The Bay.
Both focus on employment/ business and improved facilities – though tackling them from very different angles – building on the reputation and expertise the Island has in marine technology and in leisure and tourism.
In the past we have help to fund regeneration initiatives in other parts of the Island. Work has already taken place in Ryde, improving the town centre and the seafront and work to create the harbour has helped Ventnor to become known as one of the trendiest tourist destinations on the Isle of Wight.
