Walking on the Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight has over half the countryside designated as an Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretching across countryside and coastal areas. 

Amongst this spectacular scenery there are over 500 miles of walkways, so for those living on the Isle of Wight there is always somewhere tranquil to escape to and enjoy great walking.

The Isle of Wight also hosts the walking festival, with a range of walks including short distances, quirky ghost walks, dog walks, the popular speed dating walk and ‘walk the Wight’ which is a sponsored 26 mile walk from one corner of the Island to another.
