Paul Rudling

As a successful businessman, Paul brings a wealth of experience to the Partnership Board. He has a particular interest in ensuring the regeneration projects remain on target and we attract inward investment to the Island, creating an impact on the Island Economy.

Career History:
He is the Founder and was the Managing Director of SP Systems (Gurit), a company specialising in the manufacture of composite materials for use in large lightweight high performance structures.

A keen sailor from an early age, Paul pursued a career in competitive sailing at the age of 21. He has competed in the Finn class at international level for both New Zealand and Great Britain.

In 1978 he began the company that is now SP Systems. At first the company specialised in materials for high performance marine structures and it is credited with the development of modern race boat building technology.

In 1994 part of the business of SP Systems was acquired by a management team led by Paul Rudling. The business has grown rapidly and today SP is a successful technology based company employing 700 people worldwide with revenues in excess of £90 million annually.
