Danny Fisher

Danny is a strong supporter of Island business and promotes the benefits of skills development for the business success. He is also a Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Cowes Yacht Haven, the Local Learning & Skills Council and the Solent Learning Hub and was made Deputy Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight in May 2002. Danny is committed to trying to encourage high value inward investment to the Island.

Career History:
Danny served in the Royal Corps of Signals for 20 years. Danny was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1978. Having been given Regimental command at an early age, Danny chose to take retirement in 1985 in order to pursue a career in business.
Danny joined Marex Technology in 1985 and used his technical and managerial training to grow the business from an offshore engineering company into a major global player in the world of supervisory software systems.
